IASIU 2020 Call for Proposals

The International Association of Special Investigation Units (IASIU) is looking for potential speakers for the IASIU 2020 Seminar & Expo, September 13-16 in Dallas, Texas. Your session ideas will help us create a dynamic program full of strong educational content. Possible topics include the following:

  • Auto Issues: Bio medical, High tech auto theft, Vehicle ignition systems, Vehicle technology/telematics
  • Property Issues: Catastrophe investigation, Fire investigation, Fraud involving water/mold mitigation claims
  • Investigation Technologies: Cell phone forensics & analytics, Rideshare, Social media investigations
  • Workers' Compensation Fraud: Undocumented employees, Shell companies, Workers' compensation investigations
  • Other Topics: International Fraud, New fraud trends, Major Case Investigations, Interviewing, Medical Fraud, or any other topics that do not fit into one of the above listed categories

The Seminar Committee will select sessions in January and notifications will be sent in early February on the decision of your proposal. Please keep the following in mind when submitting your proposal:

- IASIU will provide up to 2 complimentary registrations to the IASIU 2020 seminar for speakers in your session.

- If selected, IASIU staff will send you a link to the Speaker Portal with subsequent tasks to complete leading up to the seminar.

- If selected, you will be asked to submit materials for CEU credit approval which includes a cover page, 5-6 learning objectives, timed outline, and a draft of the presentation slides by early April. IASIU will provide a template for the cover page and timed outline.

- If you make changes to your session title, objectives, or speakers after acceptance, these must be reviewed and approved by the Seminar Committee Chairs.
