CIFI Recertification

Once an individual receives a CIFI certification, they must be recertified every three years.

CIFI Recertification Requirements:


  • The individual must maintain the standards set forth in IASIU’s Code of Ethics
  • The individual must earn 60 continuing education units (CEUs) over a three years. 


  • A one credit ethics course must be completed.  
  • A minimum of 10 credits per year must be obtained.
  • Qualifying CEUs must relate to the investigation of insurance fraud. 
  • A completion certificate  or other proof of attendance must be maintained by the individual. 
  • Upon request member will submit documents to IASIU.
  • Log CEUs on the IASIU website in your membership profile.


  • Pay the Recertification Fee. ($100 for members and $200 for non-members)
