Proposed 2020 Bylaws Changes

Tuesday, June 23, 2020
Share |

The IASIU Board of Directors is planning for multiple scenarios for the 2020 Annual Seminar and Business Meeting in Dallas this September. While the Seminar is still scheduled, we need to be prepared to hold our Board elections if it is virtual.

The Board of Directors met in June and voted to amend the bylaws to allow for a virtual Business Meeting if needed. The next step is for you, the members, to approve this change. The Board of Directors is taking all the appropriate measures to ensure a secure election, maintaining that voters must still be present at the Business Meeting – virtual or in-person – in order to cast a ballot and that the AM Best list still be used to determine voter eligibility.

  1. Click here to view a red-line copy of the proposed changes (pages 6 & 8)
  2. Click here to post any questions that you have regarding this to our designated Q&A forum. A designated board director will respond.

Bylaws Ballot:

On June 23, 2020, Regular and Lifetime IASIU members will receive their official IASIU bylaws ballot. It will arrive in a separate email from IASIU through Survey Monkey. Per the bylaws, members will have 45 days to cast their e-ballot from the email received. The election will close on 11:59 pm CT on Friday, August 7, 2020. The ballot will contain a red-line copy of the proposed change.

E-ballots will be unique to the recipient. Only one ballot may be cast from the email. Once a ballot is cast from the link, the link becomes invalid. Votes, as always, will remain confidential.

Per the IASIU bylaws, members will need to enter their member ID on the ballot. Click here to access your ID.

What to do if you do not receive a ballot :

  1. Check your email spam, junk or promotions folders. The ballot will be sent to the primary email address associated with your IASIU account. The email will contain IASIU’s name but will come through Survey Monkey.
  2. If you still do not have a ballot, please contact Suzanne Fedie at All ballot inquires will be followed up with in the order in which they are received through the election deadline.

Thank you for participating in the IASIU bylaws election.

Kind regards,

Angela Pawlikowski, IASIU Board of Directors and Constitution & Bylaws Committee Chair

Aimee Stidham, IASIU Board of Directors and Nominations Committee Chair
