From the first notice of a fire loss to the conclusion of the scene investigation, this program addresses insurance adjustment & subrogation issues, legal considerations, origin and cause investigation of a fire loss, fraud and much more. A topic loaded classroom program in the morning will move to a live fire scenario. Participants will witness the burn, fire dynamics, as well as burn patterns. In the afternoon, class will reconvene, offering 3 CEU's in ethics. Topics covered during the day will be: the roles of individuals in a fire, investigation of the fire, restoration, spoliation, claim fraud, SIU insurance investigation, the legal process of subrogation, and will conclude with a look into a case study.


The Morning Class "Understanding the Property Fire Process" Includes: The fire victim, roles & interactions of all individuals involved, securing the scene.

Breakfast and Lunch are provided

The Afternoon Ethics Class will Include: NFPA 921, spoliation, bad faith claims, subrogation, SIU, legal issues, joint scene examinations, property conservation, forensic evidence.
