What’s your favorite part about working in SIU?

The people, the challenge, and the value of our work.
What advice do you have for prospective SIU candidates?

  • Do your research – Find out what type of claims your company investigates and how they work with their claims departments.
  • Data & Technology – Be comfortable using data & technology. They are key tools in an SIU investigation.
  • Learn your Trade – Take fraud investigation courses available on-line through IASIU & NICB.
  • Make your contacts – Reach out to SIU members within your organization or within your local lASIU chapter to learn more about the profession.
  • Be inquisitive & tenacious – If you want it, you have to work for it.
  • It’s a great profession, as an SIU investigator you can make a difference every day.

What’s something most members may not know about you?

I was featured in the book “Cool Careers for Girls as Crime Solvers” in early 2000.

What are three career lessons you’ve learned thus far?

  • Stay true to who you are. Follow your passion.
  • Hold your judgment until you are sure.
  • Know your trade.

Who is your favorite sports team or athlete?

The Florida State Seminoles and Villanova Wildcats!
