Staged Accidents! Medical clinics employing Runners to recruit "patients!" Runners paying off "patients," to stage accidents, fake injuries and treatment and to recruit other criminal minds! Have you ever wondered how an insurance fraud-based, organized crime ring does it? After travelling the United States in 2014 and 2015, and interviewing and deposing dozens of imprisoned clinic owners, runners and "patients," I was able to get inside the minds of these criminals, and learn how they organized and pulled off one of biggest insurance scams in automobile insurance history.

We are going to set the stage for one of the largest criminal enterprises in Florida's history and describe the key players involved in defrauding every major automobile insurer in Florida; We will chronicle how the medical clinics were set up as staged accident and fake treatment mills, used to bilk insurers and recount, in great detail, the dozens of interviews with the fake clinic owners, runners, and "patients", who describe how the whole scheme worked. We will paint a picture as to how the little black books kept by the clinic owners, runners and "patients" were used to identify the "easy insurer" targets; used to set up and organize the staged accidents; used to track clinic visits; and used to keep track of payoffs to runners and "patients". We will detail how over 100 crime figures were caught and prosecuted both civilly and criminally and provide information and skills that attendees can use first thing "Monday Morning."

Registration is free to IASIU members and $50 for non-members to attend this event.
